Melania Trump Praises LeBron James Shortly After Donald Calls Him Dumb!

Just because they are married and in the public eye, doesn’t mean they necessarily have to agree! In fact, in this situation, it’s probably a lot better that they don’t. After Donald Trump pretty much called LeBron James dumb, the FLOTUS, Melania Trump, made sure to do the right thing, which is to praise the basketball player for his initiative of building a special school for underprivileged kids.

Through her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, Melania applauded the sportsman’s project saying: ‘It looks like LeBron James is working hard to do great things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the first lady encourages everybody to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today.’

The statement went on: ‘As you know, Mrs. Trump’s traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative. Her platform centers around visiting organizations, hospitals and schools, and she would be open to visiting the I Promise School in Akron.’

Of course, this is a completely different focus point and opinion than the one of her POTUS husband, who took to Twitter last night to call both the basketball star and his CNN interviewer Don Lemon stupid.

It all started when in the said interview, LeBron slightly shaded Trump by saying he uses sports to divide people when sports should only do the exact opposite.

Obviously, the president didn’t like that as he was quick to slam back by tweeting: ‘Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on TV, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!’

It appears that ‘Mike’ refers to another NBA star, Michael Jordan. How petty!
