Dakota Johnson Shares Her Personal Phone Number With The Public For A Very Good Reason!

The Fifty Shades of Grey star did something no one would have imagined.

While at the Global Citizen Festival earlier today, Dakota Johnson revealed her phone number to the whole crowd for a very good reason.

The actress told everyone there that she will be waiting for their personal sexual assault

stories via voicemail in any language.

‘I want to help you—women and girls around the world—tell your story,’ Dakota said while onstage.

As she took her phone out of her pocket, she added: ‘This is my phone number.

I want you to call me and tell me your story in a voicemail.

Or I want you to send me a message at [email protected] and

tell me what you’ve gone through as a woman or girl in the world that has been suffering.’

‘If we do not speak the same language, that is Ok.

We have a team for that. We’ll translate it. And if you’re going to threaten to hurt me, we have a team for that too.

The number is 212-653-8806.’

It might sound like something impossible for celebrities to share their numbers

publicly but the actress has a very good reason.

Apparently, she plans to ‘compile these stories and get them heard so I can amplify your voice.

Together, we can achieve a world where she is equal.’

If you do call the number she gave out, the voicemail recording says:

‘This is Dakota Johnson, please leave a voicemail after the tone, and

I will record and share your story so we can live in a world where she is equal. Thank you.’

This year’s Global Citizen Festival was mostly focused on fighting against
sexual harassment and assault, so other stars aside from Johnson brought awareness to it as well,
including Janet Jackson and Janelle Monáe.
