Netflix releases first look at Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson in new movie

Netflix has unveiled four first-look images at its upcoming drama film The Devil All The Time, proving – as if it needed to – what a star-studded affair it will be

In the stills, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, Tenet‘s Robert Pattinson and Castle Rock‘s Bill Skarsgård are joined by The Outsider‘s Michael Banks Repeta, Jason Clarke (Pet Sematary), and The Lodge‘s Riley Keough.

That’s not all of the famouses set to be in the midwestern gothic, either. Haley Bennett (Swallow), The Old Guard’s Harry Melling, Mia Goth (Suspiria), Crimson Peak’s Mia Wasikowska, Little Women’s Eliza Scanlen and Holland’s MCU pal Sebastian Stan round out the cast.

According to an Entertainment Weekly interview with director Antonio Campos, the film boasts a “multi-strand narrative” that takes place between the end of World War II and “the beginning of America’s involvement in Vietnam”.

Based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel of the same name, it follows a corrupt sheriff, serial-killer couple Carl and Sandy Henderson, false preacher Preston Teagardin and struggling orphan Arvin Russell (Holland).

“I was really eager to work with Antonio because his previous films that I’ve seen are very raw,” Holland told EW. “I guess it was the challenge of doing a different accent, playing the rural kid, a period film, a new director. Everything ticked the boxes for me.”

The Devil All The Time is due to premiere on Netflix on September 16, 2020.
