A new documentary about Billie Eilish is coming to Apple TV+ next year

‘The World’s a Little Blurry’ will explore the 18-year-old’s meteoric rise to fame

When you consider that this time two years ago, very few of us had even heard of Billie Eilish, it makes the young star’s ascent all the more remarkable.

In the space of the 18 months or so since she released her debut album, the LA-born musician has become one of the best-known pop musicians on the planet. She swept the board at the Grammys earlier this year, has sung a Bond theme and generally topped charts around the globe.

Now, the 18-year-old’s story is set to be told in a new documentary coming to both cinemas (at least in the USA – it’s not confirmed whether it’ll get a theatrical release in Ireland just yet) and Apple TV+.

Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry will be released in February 2021 and is set to explore Eilish’s upbringing with her brother/producer Finneas, and how the pair rose to prominence in the music world. It’ll be directed by R.J. Cutler, the man behind documentaries like ‘The September Issue’ and ‘The War Room’.

Considering how outspoken Eilish has been about topics like gender, body image and even politics (she performed at the DNC last month), it could make for a very interesting documentary.
