Stephen Amell reveals he tested positive for COVID-19

“Arrow” star Stephen Amell lost 15 pounds in just three weeks after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Canadian-born actor, 38, revealed he fell ill while shooting the wrestling drama “Heels” and admitted that he worried about the show’s well-being more than his own.

“My anxiety came from the idea that I would be letting hundreds of people down,” he said on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast “Inside of You” on Thursday.

“When I got the positive test … it became, holy f—k, I just destroyed this show because I’m No. 1 on the call sheet and I work every day more or less,” he said. “I’m in my head going, ‘S–t, they’re going to have to shut down the production. We’re not yet done with the first block of two episodes. Did I just ruin this?’”

Amell said his physical symptoms included a plugged ear, chills, dizziness and an extreme loss of appetite.

The interview marks his first sit-down since suffering a panic attack on the same show in December. Amell chalked up the attack to saying goodbye to his starring role in “Arrow.”

The “Code 8” actor acknowledged how fortunate he was to be able to isolate and know that “I have a job waiting for me on the other side.”

He added, “Not everyone has the luxury of taking two weeks off. In fact, most people don’t. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and times are tough for a lot of people.”
