BRAD PITT MATCHES JEN ANISTON’S DONATION TO ANTI-RACISM ORGANIZATION

Just a few days after Jennifer Aniston made a $1 million donation to Color of Change, an anti-racism organization, her ex-husband Brad Pitt has reportedly matched it.

“Brad is really involved with the charity because of Jen and said he would match her donation,” a source told The Mirror. “He went to the protests this week and was at her home the day after. They are both very passionate and want to help as much as they can.”

Color of Change is aimed at helping advance the causes of black communities and “ending the injustices black people face.”

The nonprofit organization says on its website, “We challenge injustice, hold corporate and political leaders accountable, commission game-changing research on systems of inequality, and advance solutions for racial justice that can transform our world.”

Jen reportedly donated six-figures to the organization last week and has been vocal about ending racism.

Following the death of George Floyd, who died while in the custody of the Minneapolis, Minn., police on May 25, the actress called for systemic change.

“This week has been heartbreaking for so many reasons. We need to acknowledge that the racism and brutality in this country has been going on for a long time – and it’s NEVER been okay,” she wrote on Instagram. “As allies, who want equality and peace, it’s our responsibility to make noise, to demand justice, to educate ourselves on these issues, and more than anything, to spread love. How much more time are we willing to let pass without change? HOW MUCH MORE TIME?”⠀

Like Jen, her “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” ex has been standing with the Black Lives Matter movement — both financially and physically. Last week he joined other A-listers at a demonstration in Hollywood for George.

In late May and early June — in the wake of George’s death and nationwide protests against police brutality aimed at black Americans — celebrities were quick to show solidarity. Kanye West was among the stars who offered financial support when he donated $2 million to the loved ones and legal teams fighting for justice for George, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Included in the “Jesus Is King” rapper’s donation was a college fund set up for George’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna. Other celebrities also donated large sums to organizations in support of racial justice, among them John Cena and K-pop group BTS, who each gave $1 million to Black Lives Matter. Filmmaker and comedy star Jordan Peele donated $1 million across five organizations including Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective.
