Bob Odenkirk confirms he had a ‘small heart attack’

Bob Odenkirk confirmed he had a “small heart attack” while filming “Better Call Saul,” but promised fans he would “be back soon.”

“Hi. It’s Bob,” the 58-year-old Emmy winner tweeted on Friday. “Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week.”

He added, “And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.”

In a follow-up tweet, he confirmed the heart attack.

“I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery.”

He also thanked AMC, the network on which his show airs, and Sony for their support.

“I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon,” he declared.

Earlier this week it was reported that Odenkirk collapsed while filming in New Mexico and was rushed to the hospital, but no further information about his condition was released at the time.

Odenkirk was filming the sixth season of “Better Call Saul,” the prequel to the AMC show “Breaking Bad,” in which he played lawyer Saul Goodman.

Many of Odenkirk’s pals and former co-stars rallied around him upon hearing the news wishing him a speedy recovery.

On Wednesday, Odenkirk’s son Nate, 22, updated fans, tweeting that he’s “going to be okay.”

David Cross, who worked with him on their ’90s HBO series “Mr. Show with Bob and David,” also gave an update on Odenkirk’s condition on Friday.

“Just got off the phone with Bob and he’s doing great,” Cross tweeted. “Joking and japing and joshing. Both he and his family are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and concern everyone has shown.”

He added, “You will be hearing from him soon. But he’s doing really well!!!”
