And to Kathryn, in particular,\u201d she\u00a0began.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI owe you all an apology,\u201d Ashley wrote. \u201cI\u2019d like to apologize for how I treated Kathryn, and how badly I disrespected her. I\u2019m not sure what made me think it was OK to speak to a mother the way. It wasn\u2019t. It was not my place to say anything at all, much less the reckless comments I made. I crossed a line and hurt people who don\u2019t deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"instagram-embed-0\" class=\"instagram-media instagram-media-rendered\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BmxHHFGAufI\/embed\/?cr=1&amp;v=9&amp;wp=658&amp;rd=realityblurb.com#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A4824.099999997998%7D\" width=\"300\" height=\"880\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-instgrm-payload-id=\"instagram-media-payload-0\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">During one episode in particular, Ashley slammed Kathryn as a bad mom and said she was\u00a0nothing more than an \u201cegg donor\u201d\u00a0to her two children, four-year-old Kensington and two-year-old Saint Julien.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Weeks after the shocking moment was seen on\u00a0<em>Southern Charm<\/em>, Ashley told fans she now understands why\u00a0her comments were so unacceptable\u00a0to Thomas, Kathryn, and their co-stars.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAfter many chats with my friends and family with children, I never understood the unbreakable bond a parent has with their child. I can listen and learn and be far more respectful in the future but until I\u2019m blessed with a child I can never truly understand the sacrifices a parent makes on behalf of their children,\u201d she explained. \u201cSome children may not truly get it until they have their own baby. It makes me feel horrible that I may have taken my own parents for granted and thus I\u2019ve learned a tremendous lesson from all the good parents out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI can\u2019t rightfully describe how sorry I am, but I\u2019d never forgive myself if I didn\u2019t at least try,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After sharing her statement with her fans and followers, Ashley responded to critics who questioned her decision to apologize to Kathryn publicly, rather than contact her privately. Oddly, she admitted her main motive in posting this public apology is so that she can feel better.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHow do you know I have not attempted to apologize to her person to person???\u201d Ashley asked a curious fan. \u201cI\u2019ve posted this online as an attempt to reach out to thousands I\u2019ve additionally hurt. My only motive is to feel better. However, you\u2019re wrong if you think I don\u2019t want Kathryn to feel better.
