He apparently takes a huge issue with an article the actress previously wrote for Washington Post in December of last year, arguing that it caused a lot of damage to his image and therefore, career.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Disney\u2019s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise dropped him only four days after the story was published, causing him to lose tens of millions of dollars.<\/p>\n
His lawsuit argues that while Amber never mentioned his name in the article, it still \u2018depends on the premise that Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Depp perpetrated the said violence against her. Heard wrote from the perspective of \u2018a public figure representing domestic abuse\u2019 and claimed she \u2018felt the full force of our culture\u2019s wrath towards women who speak out.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
The suit filed by Depp mentions that Amber used her claims against her former husband for the sole purpose of advancing her career, while ruining his.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the actor\u2019s suit also states that Amber is not the victim, \u2018she is the perpetrator.\u2019<\/p>\n
The lawsuit goes on to bring into discussing Heard\u2019s claims that on May 21, 2016, Depp attacked her.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Johnny has neutral third-party witnesses, the testimony of two police officers, and even surveillance footage to prove that nothing happened.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, to argue that she was, in fact, the abusive one, Depp\u2019s lawsuit details an incident from back in 2015, when, she apparently threw a vodka bottle at him which broke when making contact with one of his hands.<\/p>\n
Depp claims that the injury he suffered was so severe, he had to get a finger reattached surgically.<\/p>\n
Despite this, Amber supposedly \u2018disseminated false accounts of this incident, casting Mr. Depp as the perpetrator of his own injury.\u2019<\/p>\n
The suit adds that \u2018Ms. Heard knew her elaborate hoax worked: as a result of her false allegations against Mr. Depp, Ms. Heard became a darling of the #MeToo movement.\u2019<\/p>\n
