Kim Kardashian has confirmed she’s studying to become a lawyer like her late father Robert Kardashian.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old announced the news in a candid interview with\u00a0Vogue<\/em>after the publication noticed an array of books on tort law lying around her house.<\/p>\n

Kardashian, who has started a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco with the aim of taking the bar in 2022, admitted: \u201cI had to think long and hard about this.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to tell the mag how part of the reason she wanted to take on such a thing was the release of Alice Marie Johnson last year.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump granted clemency to Johnson, who had been given a life sentence for a nonviolent drug-related crime, a week after Kardashian visited the White House to discuss prison reform.<\/p>\n

Kardashian said she felt out of her depth discussing such a thing, despite “seeing a really good result” in the end.<\/p>\n

The reality TV star told the publication, \u201cThe White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency and I\u2019m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, ‘Oh, s**t. I need to know more.'”<\/p>\n

“I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case.”<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s never one person who gets things done; it\u2019s always a collective of people, and I\u2019ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.
