Southern California was hit by its second earthquake in two days, with a 6.9 magnitude quake hitting on Friday, the biggest quake in more than 20 years.<\/p>\n

The epicentre of the quake was in Northridge, about 150 miles north of Los Angeles, and was more powerful than the 6.7 quake that shook the city in 1994.<\/p>\n

A Los Angeles news broadcast was airing live as the quake hit, leading to a frightening on-air moment (above) that left the anchors shaken both literally and figuratively as one of them sought shelter underneath the anchor desk.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, celebs throughout L.A. took to social media to comment about the big quake.<\/p>\n
