\u201cI don\u2019t find it frustrating,\u201d the professional dancer, 31, told Us Weekly at the America\u2019s Got Talent live show red carpet in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 13. \u201cI know my truth and I know the energy behind whatever I said and what was put out there. People will define or label anything in this world and everything in this world, so I\u2019m not mad at people who do that. It is what it is!\u201d<\/p>\n
Hough added: \u201cThe energy behind it is that, love is love. And that\u2019s what I believe. That\u2019s it! Like, it\u2019s actually less complicated than everybody\u2019s making it. It\u2019s just, love is love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, Hough opened up about her sexuality during an interview with Women\u2019s Health, and explained how she shared her truth with husband Brooks Laich, whom she wed in July 2017.<\/p>\n
\u201cI [told him], \u2018You know I\u2019m not straight, right?\u2019 And he was like, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, what?\u2019\u201d the AGT judge told the magazine. \u201cI was like, \u2018I\u2019m not. But I choose to be with you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued: \u201cI think there\u2019s a safety with my husband now that I\u2019m unpacking all of this, and there\u2019s no fear of voicing things that I\u2019ve been afraid to admit or that I\u2019ve had shame or guilt about because of what I\u2019ve been told or how I was raised.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shortly after the interview was published, Laich, 36, took to social media to praise his wife for sharing her story.<\/p>\n

Prior to her relationship with Laich, Hough dated country music star Chuck Wicks from 2008 to 2009 and Ryan Seacrest from 2010 to 2013.<\/p>\n
