We did some tests. And then a month later he said, \u2018You have the worst diet I\u2019ve ever met from any patient,\u2019 \u201d Cowell recalled to DeGeneres, 61. \u201cSo I went, \u2018Okay, out of the smoking, the drinking, and diet, what do I have to drop?\u2019 And he said, \u2018The diet.\u2019 So I said, \u2018I\u2019m in!\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Since then, Cowell has lost at least 20 lbs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">His new diet \u2014 which he said restricts him from eating \u201cpretty much all the things I loved\u201d \u2014 wasn\u2019t as difficult to adopt, thanks in part to his 5-year-old son Eric.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt was easier than I thought, and part of the reason I did it was because of Eric,\u201d he said of his son with girlfriend Lauren Silverman. \u201cI realized if I didn\u2019t sort myself out physically, I wouldn\u2019t be able to catch up with him. Because the minute he gets up to the minute he goes to sleep \u2026 their energy, you forget, at 5-years-old, is phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt\u2019s like the Eric diet because he actually, apart from ice cream, he actually likes water,\u201d Cowell previously told Extra. \u201cI mean, who likes water? And his raw vegetables. So I\u2019m on like, the Eric Cowell diet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">And while Cowell told Extra in May that he\u2019d yet to indulge in a cheat day, Simon did admit that he\u2019s frequently tempted by pizza.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/40.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-45589\" src=\"http:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/40.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/40.jpg 263w, https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/40-197x300.jpg 197w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 263px) 100vw, 263px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Cowell\u2019s new slimmed-down figure follows a\u00a0scary incident in October 2017\u00a0that he said served as a wake-up call.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The star was rushed to the hospital after he fainted and fell down the stairs while trying to get himself a glass of hot milk during a bout of insomnia.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He later explained that his fall was due to low blood pressure.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSometimes we get a reminder that we\u2019re not invincible and this was certainly mine.
