When Hope Calls centers around sisters Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) who open an orphanage in the 1916 Western town of Brookfield. As the two are caught between the traditions of cattle ranchers and the ambitions of a growing town, they strive to find romance and happiness while overcoming the challenges of helping the children in their care. Throughout their journey, they discover community, acceptance and love as they create the family they always longed to have. Viewers will recognize Kohan and Hudon who first appeared as their characters in the 2018 When Calls The Heart holiday movie, \u201cThe Great Christmas Blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast also includes R.J. Hatanaka as Gabriel, the Brookfield Mountie who catches Lillian’s eye; Greg Hovanessian as Chuck, the ranch hand vying for Grace’s heart; and Wendy Crewson as Tess, Chuck’s mother and up until recent events, a longtime family friend of Lillian’s.<\/p>\n

“When Hope Calls” is exclusively available on Hallmark Movies Now beginning August 30.<\/p>\n

Will There Be a Season 2 of ‘When Hope Calls’? Cast Reveal What They’d Like to See Happen on the Show<\/h4>\n

For Hearties who are missing their favorite show, When Hope Calls has been a welcome distraction. The streaming-only series (available on Hallmark Movies Now) is set in the same universe as When Hope Calls, and though it features all-new characters and storylines, some familiar faces from Hope Valley sometimes stop by.<\/p>\n

The first season of\u00a0When Hope Calls\u00a0<\/em>wraps up on October 25, with an episode titled \u201cWhere Hope Goes.\u201d In that episode, criminals arrive in Brookfield to wrap up loose ends \u2013 which includes targeting innocent people. Gabriel (Ryan-James Hatanaka) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) are worried the suspects will target Lillian (Morgan Kohan), while the criminals turn to Tess (Wendy Crewson) for help covering their tracks. Meanwhile, Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) is preparing to travel across the Atlantic with Helen (Riley O\u2019Donnell) to meet her grandfather, but is worried about leaving while she\u2019s in an argument with Chuck (Greg Hovanessian).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Is \u2018When Hope Calls\u2019 renewed for season 2?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

So far, Hallmark has not made an announcement about whether\u00a0When Hope Calls\u00a0<\/em>will get a second season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While fans who\u2019ve watched the show\u00a0seem to have enjoyed it, many Hearties are frustrated that the\u00a0only way to see the episodes\u00a0is to purchase a Hallmark Movies Now subscription for $5.99 a month. However, supporters of the series are eager to see it return.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
