Actor\u00a0Anushka Sharma\u00a0joined many other Bollywood celebrities in expressing disbelief, anger and pain at the rape and murder of the\u00a0Hyderabad veterinarian\u00a0on November 27. The actor took to Twitter to express her feelings, adding how \u2018justice should be served swiftly\u2019.<\/p>\n
She wrote: \u201cPain..Anguish..Anger..Frustration..Disbelief.. this is absolutely horrific and should be given the severest of punishments. My thoughts and prayers are with ****\u2019s family. Justice should be served swiftly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anushka\u2019s husband and cricketer Virat Kohli too was shocked by the incident and wrote: \u201cWhat happened in Hyderabad is absolutely shameful. It\u2019s high time we as a society take charge and put an end to these inhumane tragedies.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anushka and Virat were among many celebrities who have been reacting to the incident.\u00a0Salman\u2009Khan\u00a0had written on social media: \u201c#JusticeFor** These r the worst kind of shaitans disguised in the human form! Actor Rakul Preet Singh, who works in Telugu and Hindi film industries, had written: \u201cI don\u2019t even know how to react about the incident. Its high time we as a nation instill fear in people\u2019s minds so no one dares to even think about committing a crime so horrific.\u201d<\/p>\n
Actors Farhan Akhtar, Akshay\u2009Kumar, Richa Chadha and Shabana Azmi among many others had reacted sharply to the incident.<\/p>\n
