That\u2019s the question the internet is trying to answer after one man tweeted a photo of his admittedly salad-heavy sando.<\/p>\n

Gondelman \u2014 who is a writer, producer and comedian \u2014 unintentionally launched Twitter into a hilarious debate over what is the correct amount.<\/p>\n

\u201cOmg have her arrested,\u201d Andy Lassner, the executive producer of \u201cThe Ellen DeGeneres Show\u201d and \u201cGame of Games\u201d replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnpopular opinion: That looks good as hell,\u201d comedian Donni Saphire replied.<\/p>\n

Another person responded that there was so much lettuce, it constituted a \u201cfree bonus salad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gondelman replied, saying that\u2019s how he ate it, pulling out the\u00a0spinach\u00a0and eating \u201clike a fully separate salad with a fork.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another person speculated there was a much more insidious reason for the extra green stuff: \u201cShe accidentally got too much spinach on the last produce order and is trying to cover it up so her boss doesn\u2019t find out,\u201d Brian Duffy tweeted. \u201cSpinach laundering.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gondelman took the whole exchange in stride, laughing that his photo had resonated with so many people.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is truly phenomenal to spend so much time writing and performing comedy and what really speaks to people is a sandwich with too much spinach on it,\u201d he laughed in an interview with TODAY on Friday.<\/p>\n

He added he didn\u2019t have any complaints about the extra lettuce. He said the sandwich came from his \u201csecondary\u201d bodega \u2014 it\u2019s open fewer hours than his main shop \u2014 but the woman serving the sandwich was familiar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I receive unexpected bodega wisdom in the form of extra spinach, I figured she knows what\u2019s good for me better than I do,\u201d he laughed, adding she was probably just hoping he eats all his veggies. \u201cI think that was the message she was sending subtly, by giving me an entire farm\u2019s worth of lettuce.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gondelman said, in his estimation, the responses have been fairly evenly divided with a slight skew toward agreeing with him \u2014 that it was just a little too much.<\/p>\n
