Andrea\u2019s cancer had returned for the second time while the documentary was filming, Swift revealed last March.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cEveryone loves their mom; everyone\u2019s got an important mom,\u201d Swift told the magazine. \u201cBut for me, she\u2019s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first. So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cShe was going through chemo, and that\u2019s a hard enough thing for a person to go through,\u201d the singer said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWhile she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor,\u201d Swift continued. \u201cAnd the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we\u2019ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it\u2019s just been a really hard time for us as a family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BBZbmI2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53112\" src=\"http:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BBZbmI2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"773\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BBZbmI2.jpg 773w, https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BBZbmI2-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BBZbmI2-768x994.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 773px) 100vw, 773px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Elsewhere in the interview, Swift spoke about her relatively short touring schedule this year following the release of her new album Lover. The musician explained that her mother was \u201cthe reason\u201d she wanted to spend less time on the road.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI mean, we don\u2019t know what is going to happen,\u201d she shared. \u201cWe don\u2019t know what treatment we\u2019re going to choose. It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Swift previously got candid about her mother\u2019s cancer diagnosis during a deeply personal track on Lover called \u201cSoon You\u2019ll Get Better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAnd I hate to make this all about me \/ But who am I supposed to talk to? \/ What am I supposed to do? \/ If there\u2019s no you,\u201d sings Swift on the emotional song.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThat was really, really hard to write, and it was just a family decision whether to even put it on the album,\u201d the \u201cLover\u201d singer said during a YouTube Live ahead of her album\u2019s release. \u201cWe as a family decided to put this on the album, and it\u2019s something I\u2019m so proud of, but it\u2019s just really hard. I can\u2019t sing it. Both of my parents have had cancer, and my mom is now fighting her battle with it again,\u201d she wrote in a personal essay for the magazine.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt\u2019s taught me that there are real problems and then there\u2019s everything else,\u201d she continued. \u201cMy mom\u2019s cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs.
