Heidi Klum says she faced a wave of criticism after addressing Gabrielle Union’s allegations of racism and inappropriate behavior on the set of “America’s Got Talent,” where Heidi served as a judge for six seasons. Speaking at a Television Critics Association event in January, Heidi said: “I’ve only had an amazing experience [on the show]. I can’t speak for Gabrielle. I didn’t experience the same thing. To me, everyone treats you with the utmost respect.” When Page Six checked in with her this week, Heidi said those comments were taken as overly dismissive. “A lot of people got mad at me,” she told the outlet. “I was called, for example, ‘a white woman.’ I think it is important for everyone to speak their truth. I think that when there is a story, it should be told. I had a different story.” She added: “I can only speak to what I saw \u2014 it has nothing to do with what color I am. I am a human so I just looked at what I saw.” Gabrielle lost her job at the show after telling higher-ups what she was experiencing.
