It may be surprising considering she’s married to Joe Jonas, but Sophie Turner actually hated his band, the Jonas Brothers, before the couple\u00a0formed a relationship<\/p>\n
In an interview with Elle Tuesday, the “Game of Thrones” actress, 24, revealed she and her friends “were not Jonas Brothers fans.<\/p>\n
“There was this band in the UK called Busted,\u201d she explained. “They had a hit called \u2018Year 3000.\u2019 It was amazing, and we were huge Busted fans. Then the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it massive. And Busted broke up. We thought it was all the Jonas Brothers\u2019 fault. So we hated them<\/p>\n
Then, as fate would have it, a movie producer and Joe’s agent, on different occasions, mentioned that she should meet Joe<\/p>\n
“(Joe’s agent) was like, \u2018You remind me of one of my clients. I bet you two would really hit it off.\u2019 \u201d she recalled<\/p>\n
As their modern love story goes, Joe later DM’ed\u00a0her while touring in the UK and they met up for drinks<\/p>\n
\u201cI expected him to show up with security and everything. I thought, \u2018He\u2019s gonna be such a (expletive),’ ” she recalled. “He didn\u2019t bring security. He brought a friend, and they drank just as hard as the rest of us. I remember the two of us spending only a couple of minutes on the dance floor, and then we just found a space far in the corner and we just talked. We talked for hours, and hours, and hours. And I was, like, not bored. It wasn\u2019t contrived. It wasn\u2019t small talk \u2013 it was just so easy. And soon we were, like, inseparable.<\/p>\n

The pair got engaged a year after they started dating, having two ceremonies: one in Las Vegas with an Elvis impersonator and a more formal ceremony in the\u00a0South of France<\/p>\n
Turner said marriage has given her an “incredible sense of security.”<\/p>\n
“Just the word husband and the word wife\u2014it just solidifies the relationship. I love being married. I think it\u2019s wonderful. I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll have our hiccups and our different things. But right now, it\u2019s like the security and the safety is everything,” she said<\/p>\n
She also said her sister-in-laws, Nick’s wife\u00a0Priyanka and Kevin’s wife\u00a0Danielle, are another perk of being part of his\u00a0family<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s also nice to have built-in girlfriends who are actually really cool, who I can hang out with and we can really talk to each other about, like, how crazy the boys\u2019 lives are,” she said.\u00a0“We can relate on so many different levels.
