Scientists find navy is the most relaxing colour &#8211; with turquoise and pastel pink also helping to beat stress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55256 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AADt5GI.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AADt5GI.jpg 476w, https:\/\/nasimword.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AADt5GI-300x262.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 476px) 100vw, 476px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Humans often associate specific colours with particular events, emotions and even moods and now, experts found navy blue is the most relaxing colour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">They say surrounding yourself with blue clothes, objects and accessories could help you lead a more relaxed life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Calmness is most inspired by dark blues, turquoises and pinks while the colours of luxury include purple, orange, and white.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Research from the University of Sussex and\u00a0fine paper company G.F Smith asked\u00a026,596 people from more than 100 countries to name their favourite colour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The researchers, led by\u00a0Professor Anna Franklin from the school of psychology at the University of Sussex, then determined what word they most associate with this hue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Some of the most common words linked with these colours were happy followed by calm, bright, warm, sky, sea, fresh, vibrant and summer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The survey revealed that globally people associate the colours of &#8216;strong&#8217; with shades of blue, red and orange.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Calmness is most inspired by dark blues, turquoises and pinks, while notions of the future are most often associated with shades of green.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The colours of luxury include purple, orange, and white<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Professor Franklin writes in the report: &#8216;Over the last ten years science has\u00a0been concerned with why people like some\u00a0colours more than others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">In many ways, colour preference is\u00a0a strange phenomenon \u2014 why should people\u00a0have strong feelings about simple patches\u00a0of colour? There are currently four theories,\u00a0which each have some supporting evidence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&#8216;Colour preference\u00a0comes from our interaction with\u00a0coloured objects, colour\u00a0 reference is due\u00a0to how colour is encoded by sensory\u00a0mechanisms in the eye and brain, some colours are liked\u00a0more because they are easier to\u00a0process, and to communicate about and colour preference can\u00a0be predicted by a colour&#8217;s attributes.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">G.F Smith Joint Managing Director John Haslam added: &#8216;Colour has always had an intrinsic relationship with our culture and is woven into our consciousness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&#8216;The story of colour maps a particular history through our cultural development \u2014 telling a much larger story about the way we perceive, value and cherish colour<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&#8216;The study underlined that colour is as much about substance as it is about beauty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&#8216;The fascinating results and their relevance are shared in the report \u2014 inspiring the world to think differently about the role and value of colour in our lives.&#8217;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Humans often associate specific colours with particular events, emotions and even moods and now, experts found navy blue is the most relaxing colour.
