\u201cI\u2019m up in Idaho, I\u2019m at my house in Idaho,\u201d the 36-year-old former NHL player told cohost\u00a0Gavin DeGraw<\/strong>\u00a0on their \u201cHow Men Think\u201d podcast,<\/a>\u00a0noting he\u2019s outside \u201call day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m outside from like, 7:30 until 5 o\u2019clock,\u201d Laich continued. \u201cI have 10-and-a-half acres here. Our property\u2019s pretty big and I\u2019ve just been doing a mass cleaning of it. Like, everything. Building some rock walls, chainsawing down some trees, clearing brush, you name it. \u2026 I think I\u2019m an introvert by nature.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Hough, 31, opted to stay in Los Angeles, the athlete brought the pair\u2019s \u201cawesome\u201d husky, Koda, with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s got to be some sort of wolf in him. It\u2019s been great,\u201d he explained. \u201cI love having my dog \u2014 if it wasn\u2019t for my dog, I\u2019d probably be a little more antsy with the isolation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laich added that he\u2019s \u201cdoing OK\u201d even though he misses \u201cthe friendships and companionships where you do get to hug somebody and be in the same room.\u201d According to the professional dancer\u2019s husband, he sees his neighbors from a distance, but hasn\u2019t had much human contact.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see them when they walk their dogs a little bit, but don\u2019t see them much. We\u2019re practicing social distancing, but I\u2019ve been good with the isolation,\u201d he explained. \u201cI bought this place in 2014, and I\u2019ve never spent enough time here. I come here like, a week a year and it\u2019s my dream property. \u2026 There\u2019s lots to do. And I just love being up here. I\u2019ve never spent enough time here, so I\u2019m doing OK with it. But I\u2019ve always been that way, even when I was younger. When I was a young kid, I didn\u2019t need to be around friends all the time. I liked it, I had great friends, I still have great friends to this day, but there\u2019s a part of me that enjoys isolation and there\u2019s a part of me that actually gets drained when I\u2019m around too many people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0confirmed earlier this month that Laich\u00a0left his home in L.A., which he shares with Hough<\/a>. She was subsequently\u00a0spotted out with actor\u00a0Ben Barnes<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on April 16.<\/p>\n

According to a source, the couple,\u00a0who wed in July 2017<\/a>,\u00a0are \u201cnot doing well\u201d at the moment<\/a>. Their decision to quarantine alone comes months after the initial reports of a rough patch in their marriage.<\/p>\n

While\u00a0one insider told\u00a0Us<\/em>\u00a0in December 2019 that the pair were \u201chaving problems,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0three months later,\u00a0a second source insisted that they worked through their struggles<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBrooks and Julianne are totally fine and are working through any issues they previously faced,\u201d the source said in March. \u201cAt the end of the day, they love each other and they are still together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hough, meanwhile,\u00a0has been filling her days by dancing on Instagram Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n
