Prince Harry<\/a>\u00a0is feeling \u201crudderless\u201d as he struggles to adapt to life under lockdown in a new country where he has few friends, it has been claimed today.<\/p>\n

With just over a month having passed since\u00a0Harry and Meghan<\/a>\u00a0fled the wilds of rural Canada for Los Angeles, where they are believed to be locked down in a luxury villa owned by their friend\u00a0Tyler Perry<\/a>, Harry in particular is struggling, a source has told\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/em>\u2019s Katie Nicholl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After recent reports that he was missing his army friends and felt homesick in LA, a source told\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/a><\/em>, \u201cHe has a lot of friends in the military community in the UK and of course he misses them. This is a very strange time for us all, but I think Harry is missing having a structure to his life right now. He doesn\u2019t have friends in L.A. like Meghan and he doesn\u2019t have a job. So at the moment he\u2019s a bit rudderless, but it won\u2019t always be like this, and he knows that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments broadly echo comments\u00a0made by a source<\/a>\u00a0to The Daily Beast who admitted that Harry\u2019s life, like many other people\u2019s, had been \u201cshaken up\u201d by the lockdown.<\/p>\n

As a part of his exit deal from the British monarchy, Harry agreed to drop his HRH titles and give up all his military roles. The couple were also asked not to use the word \u201croyal\u201d in their international branding and reluctantly agreed, which meant they have been forced to mothball their Sussex Royal Instagram account.<\/p>\n

It was reported by the\u00a0Daily Telegraph<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that Harry was yearning for at least some parts of his old life, with what was described as a well-placed source saying: \u201cHarry has told friends he is really missing the Army as well his military appointments. He misses the camaraderie of being in the forces.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has been telling friends that he still can\u2019t believe this has happened. He can\u2019t believe his life has been turned upside down.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was in a happy place when he was serving in the Army, then he met Meghan and since then life has been great. But I don\u2019t think he foresaw things turning out quite as they did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Telegraph<\/em>\u00a0added that Harry, 35, does not \u201cblame Meghan,\u201d but can\u2019t shake a \u201csense that he might have been better protected if he was still in the Army.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s team would not comment on the\u00a0Telegraph\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0story to The Daily Beast. However, a friend told The Daily Beast that \u201cany implications that these feelings have anything to do with the duchess are completely untrue.\u201d<\/p>\n

The friend told The Daily Beast that Harry\u2019s \u201cmilitary titles will always be important to him, as will the friends that he made while he served,\u201d but noted but \u201che left service a few years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry himself recently told a military podcast of the \u201cgaping hole\u201d that \u201changing up\u201d the military uniform leaves in former squaddies such as himself.<\/p>\n

It is noticeable that the charities that Harry has sought to really strive to continue to be involved with are the military ones. As well as recording that interview, he has recorded messages for the Invictus Games and fronted the launch of a website, HeadFIT, designed primarily with the mental health needs of the defense community in mind.<\/p>\n

Speaking on\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/em>, Katie Nicholl elaborated on her\u00a0VF<\/em>\u00a0story, and said Prince Harry and Prince William are \u201cback in touch\u201d and had been chatting online.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch.<\/p>\n
