I actually saw him on a plane before I announced that I was pregnant,\u201d the Grammy nominee, 35, told\u00a0Scott Mills<\/strong>\u00a0on his\u00a0\u201cRadio 1 Breakfast Show\u201d\u00a0on Tuesday, June 9. \u201cWe were having a conversation and I was like, \u2018Yeah, and I\u2019m pregnant,\u2019 just like off the cuff, because I was like, what else do you say?\u201d<\/p>\n The former One Direction member, 26, was \u201cso happy\u201d for Perry and her fianc\u00e9,\u00a0Orlando Bloom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was so sweet,\u201d the \u201cNever Worn White\u201d singer added. \u201cI was, like, crouching down by his seat on the plane and once I had told him that, he got up out of his seat and he was like, \u2018Here, sit in my seat.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018No! I\u2019ll just go and sit in my own seat, which is right across the way,\u2019 but he\u2019s, like, a complete gentleman.\u201d<\/p>\n The California native announced in March that she and Bloom, 43, are excepting their first child together. The actor already shares his 9-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.<\/p>\n The following month, the couple revealed the sex of their baby-to-be with the help of pink frosting.<\/p>\n The American Idol judge opened up last month about the struggles of being pregnant amid the coronavirus pandemic. \u201cI cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks,\u201d the American Music Award winner said in a May livestream. \u201cI think a lot of that is hormonal and I\u2019m not used to being around so many people all in a confined [or] a small space for so long. I\u2019m used to going [out] all the time. \u2026 There is not really anywhere to go besides my car. So I go to my car a lot.
