The first photo of\u00a0Katy Perry<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Orlando Bloom<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s daughter is here \u2014 and just as we thought, she\u2019s absolutely adorable! The 10x Grammy nominee, 35, decided to let one of her favorite charities make the big announcement of the arrival of\u00a0Daisy Dove Bloom<\/strong>\u00a0to their Instagram account on Aug. 26. Both Katy and Orlando are UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors and the children\u2019s charity shared the first photo of Daisy, with her little hand clutching Orlando\u2019s thumb, while Katy\u2019s hand held on with a daisy flower manicured onto her thumb nail.<\/p>\n

Daisy was wearing what appeared to be a light colored onesie in the stylish black and white photo. She also had a stripped knit cap on to protect her little head and keep it warm, so we\u2019re not sure yet how much hair the newborn has. \u201c\u2019We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,\u2019 Katy and Orlando told us,\u201d UNICEF wrote in the caption. Katy released a song called \u201cDaisies\u201d in May, so she could have been hinting for months at what her daughter would be named. In the music video, she\u00a0rubbed her <\/a>growing belly<\/a>\u00a0while standing in a field of the flowers.<\/p>\n

Despite revealing her pregnancy closer to her due date, Katy was open about how active she was while carrying the couple\u2019s baby girl. The singer wasn\u2019t shy about stepping out with her baby bump on display, whether she was\u00a0at the beach in Malibu<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0shopping in Santa Barbara<\/a>. Just a few months before she gave birth, Katy opened up about what it was like being pregnant and working on new music during the\u00a0COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>, as well as the\u00a0Black Lives Matter<\/a>\u00a0movement, among other major moments in American history.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a very active woman and an active mom and during this time of COVID and quite frankly American revolution I have also been putting out songs and heading toward putting out a record August 14 \u2014 I\u2019ve been working really hard,\u201d she explained during a\u00a0virtual appearance<\/a>\u00a0on KIIS FM\u2019s\u00a0Kyle<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Jackie O<\/strong>\u00a0on July 20.\u00a0\u201cThe one blessing is that I don\u2019t have to travel extremely\u2026 I\u2019m really grateful for my body and I have so much respect for women,\u201d she added, noting that she felt great throughout her first pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Katy first revealed she was expecting in the\u00a0music video<\/a>\u00a0for her song \u201cNever Wore White,\u201d which released in early March. She later verbally confirmed the news in an Instagram Live video. The\u00a0pregnancy<\/a>\u00a0news came just over a year after Orlando proposed on Valentine\u2019s Day in 2019. This marks the second child for the\u00a0Carnival Row<\/em>\u00a0actor, who is already dad to 9-year-old son,\u00a0Flynn<\/strong>\u00a0from his previous marriage with\u00a0Miranda Kerr<\/strong>. As for when Katy and Orlando will tie the knot? The actor, 43,\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0in March that they may have to put their dream nuptials on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
