Hillary Clinton<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>still considers her\u00a0husband\u00a0Bill Clinton<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>her\u00a0“best friend,” 45 years after their wedding.<\/p>\n

In honor of their anniversary on Oct. 11, Hillary and Bill both shared sweet throwbacks of one another on social media.<\/p>\n

“Forty-five years. Never a dull moment, and you’re still my best friend,” Hillary wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0in the caption of a photo of the couple at their wedding.\u00a0“Love you, Bill.”<\/p>\n

Bill echoed the statement\u00a0on\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0with a more recent photo of the pair.<\/p>\n

“October 11th was a beautiful day 45 years ago. Still is,” he gushed. “The bride was beautiful too. And still is. Happy Anniversary, Hillary. I love you.”<\/p>\n

CNN journalist\u00a0Lisa Ling\u00a0<\/strong>took to Hillary’s Instagram comments to share her congratulations.<\/p>\n

“No matter what anyone has ever said about your relationship, it has endured,” she wrote.\u00a0“No marriage is perfect, we have all had our trials and tribulations. I have seen the deep love and respect you two have for one another. Congratulations on 45 years!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

In a 2015 interview with\u00a0Girls\u00a0<\/em>creator\u00a0Lena Dunham<\/strong>, Hillary admitted she\u00a0rejected Bill’s marriage proposal<\/a>…twice!<\/p>\n

“I was terrified about losing my identity and getting lost in the kind of wake of Bill’s force-of-nature personality,” Hillary revealed to the actress. “I actually turned him down twice when he asked me to marry him. We were in England on a trip after law school graduation. He asked me to marry him. I said, ‘You know, I can’t say yes. I can’t do that right now.'”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
