Taraji P. Henson has ended her engagement with fianc\u00e9 Kelvin Hayden.<\/p>\n

The \u201cWhat Men Want\u201d star, 50, confirmed she and Hayden, 37, split during an appearance on the radio show, \u201cThe Breakfast Club,\u201d on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m dedicated to the black man, y\u2019all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I hadn\u2019t said it yet, but it didn\u2019t work out,\u201d she said. \u201cI tried. I was, like, therapy. Let\u2019s do the therapy thing, but if you\u2019re both not on the same page with that then you feel like, you\u2019re taking it on yourself, and that\u2019s not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henson said the pair realized that they were not responsible for each other\u2019s happiness and needed to \u201cfirst make ourselves happy to make each other happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of my relationships started looking the same,\u201d she added. \u201cTwo broken people trying to pick up the pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henson and Hayden join a long list of celebrity couples who have\u00a0called it quits<\/a>\u00a0amid the coronavirus pandemic.<\/figure>\n

The couple first\u00a0sparked separation rumors<\/a>\u00a0in September when Hayden did not attend Henson\u2019s 50th birthday party.<\/p>\n

Instead of being with the former NFL player, the actress\u00a0celebrated on a yacht in Mexico<\/a>\u00a0with gal pals, including Mary J. Blige.<\/p>\n
