The results stated that\u00a0<strong>those who weighed themselves once a week or even less than that did not lose weight<\/strong>, while those who weighed themselves six or seven times a week averaged a 1.7%\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatthis.com\/bariatric-surgery-liife-expectancy\/?utm_source=msn&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=msn-feed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weight loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"medianetintraarticlenativead\" class=\"medianetintraarticlenativead\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The reason behind the success of those who had persistent daily weigh-ins was due to self-monitoring. According to a study published by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jandonline.org\/article\/S0002-8223(10)01644-5\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Journal of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics<\/em><\/a>, self-monitoring is an important aspect of behavioral weight loss intervention programs. Even women experience slight weight gain as they go through their menstrual cycle.
