Did you hear the one about\u00a0Jane Seymour<\/a>, 69, saying that\u00a0she could play<\/a>\u00a0someone who\u2019s 25?<\/p>\n

Seymour herself clarifies in a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment that a quote attributed to her last week was inaccurate.<\/p>\n

While the headline for a story in\u00a0The Times<\/em><\/a>\u00a0of London read, \u201cJane Seymour: \u2018I could play someone who\u2019s 25 \u2014 and I\u2019ve had no surgery,\u201d she takes issue with that description<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s just set the record straight: I did not say that,\u201d the\u00a0Wedding Crashers\u00a0<\/em>actress says.<\/p>\n

Seymour does recall that she had a conversation related to that with the director of her upcoming TV series,\u00a0Glow and Darkness<\/em>. They were talking about flashback scenes, in which her character was much younger.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018Well, you know, if you think I can do it, then you can do all that digital stuff, that\u2019s fine,\u2019\u201d Seymour says. \u201cThe director told me two days before that he did not want anyone else playing the other scenes. Unbeknownst to me, he went and shot with another girl on that Monday before I ever did it. I went, \u2018Oh, well that\u2019s curious.\u2019 I never said I should play 25. In fact, on many, many occasions, [I] told him that I thought that was probably be a stupid idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

The truth is that Seymour usually looks impressively fit and vibrant, regardless of her age. She attributes that to more than good genes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about healthy living. It\u2019s about taking good vitamins. It\u2019s about drinking lots of water. It\u2019s about having a positive attitude,\u201d Seymour says. \u201cEverything in moderation. I suppose that\u2019s my mantra.\u201d<\/p>\n

No doubt because of that, she\u2019s able to maintain the same weight for years. Impressively, she can still fit into some of her old costumes, many of which she\u2019s kept.<\/p>\n
