Lily Collins says her relationship with fianc\u00e9 Charlie McDowell has gotten stronger during quarantine.<\/p>\n
The \u201cEmily in Paris\u201d star \u2014 who got engaged to McDowell in September \u2014 told L\u2019Officiel magazine that the couple has benefitted from time together \u201cwithout the layers of society\u201d interfering.<\/p>\n
\u201cQuarantine has made and broken up a lot of people, but the time together just solidified what we already knew about each other,\u201d the 31-year-old said. \u201cEveryone has very much been who they are these last few months, because there aren\u2019t any external distractions.\u201d
\n\u201cWe\u2019re all really getting back to the core of who we are without the layers of society,\u201d Collins added. \u201cWhen you\u2019ve seen someone at their best and at their worst and you\u2019re still right there with them, that\u2019s a beautiful thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Collins, who is British music icon Phil Collins\u2019 daughter, is marrying into a famous family as well: McDowell is the son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, while his stepfather is Ted Danson.<\/p>\n
