Chris Kattan is eager to star in a \u201cNight at the Roxbury\u201d sequel despite saying last year that he destroyed his friendship with Will Ferrell while filming the original.<\/p>\n
In his explosive 2019 memoir, Kattan claimed that \u201cSNL\u201d honcho Lorne Michaels pressured him to have sex with the film\u2019s would-be director Amy Heckerling, which ultimately put a strain on his friendship with Ferrell. (An \u201cSNL\u201d spokesperson denied the accusation).<\/p>\n
However, Kattan, 50, told Page Six in a new interview that working with the \u201cElf\u201d star is \u201cone of the coolest things to do\u201d and that he\u2019s \u201cone of those guys who is just as funny off-screen as he is on-screen.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s a no-brainer that it would be a fun movie to do, I think,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think it would be difficult to be made and difficult for it to make a lot of money. I would up for it. I think it would be a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kattan added that the 1998 cult classic, starring Kattan and Ferrell as nightclub-obsessed brothers, \u201cdeserves\u201d a sequel.<\/p>\n
Kattan has been busy during lockdown working on new projects and also binge-watching shows, with \u201c90 Day Fianc\u00e9\u201d being his clear favorite.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you watch it, you could swear it\u2019s written by David Mamet,\u201d Kattan said. \u201cIt\u2019s that good, you can\u2019t believe how good the events are that are unfolding in front of your very eyes \u2026 It\u2019s so bad that it\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n
