Singer\u00a0Jeremih<\/strong>, whose real name is\u00a0Jeremy Phillip Felton<\/strong>, has been released from the hospital after being treated for\u00a0coronavirus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A video of the music artist wearing a mask and slowly walking outside the doors to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago was posted on\u00a0ABC7Chicago.com<\/a>. Jeremih’s mother shot the footage. She told the TV station that walking is a major accomplishment for her son after his battle with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

“First and foremost I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life,” the star’s family said in a statement issued on his behalf to E! News on Saturday, Dec. 5. “I will be forever grateful. I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. A special thanks to\u00a0Chance The Rapper<\/strong>,\u00a050 Cent<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0Diddy<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for their love and support.”<\/p>\n

I would also like to thank all my fans and people around the world who prayed for me,” the statement continued. “I’m getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons.”<\/p>\n

Late last month, the 33-year-old star was taken to the hospital and admitted to the ICU, where he was put on a ventilator for a few days.<\/p>\n

“The COVID-19 condition he’s experiencing is rare for a young man his age without underlying conditions,” his family said in a statement at the time. “His family would like to remind the world that COVID-19 is real and not to be taken lightly. Also, It’s important for people infected to quarantine and let their families and friends know ASAP. There’s no shame in contracting COVID-19, and people that have it need to be responsible and considerate of others. Everyone diagnosed with COVID-19 is affected differently, Unfortunately for Jeremih, COVID-19 viciously attacked his body.”<\/p>\n

Following the news about Jeremih’s hospitalization, musicians banded together to send him their love and support. Chance the Rapper, 50 Cent and many others took to social media with special messages.<\/p>\n

“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now,” Chance the Rapper, a fellow Chicago native,\u00a0shared on Twitter<\/a>\u00a0last month. “I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”<\/p>\n

50 Cent\u00a0wrote on Twitter<\/a>, “pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s–t is real.” The rapper later added\u00a0on Instagram<\/a>, “He’s in ICU in Chicago.”<\/p>\n

Rapper\u00a0Hitmaka<\/strong>\u00a0was one of the first artists to speak out about Jeremih’s health. The two previously worked together on hits like “Giv No Fxks” with\u00a0Migos<\/strong>, and “Dangerous” with\u00a0Meek Mill<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0PnB Rock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih this message is posted with his mothers [sic] blessings,” Hitmaka captioned his\u00a0Instagram post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

B<\/strong>ig Sean<\/strong><\/a>, who also collaborated with the R&B singer and Chance the Rapper on the song “Living Single,”\u00a0shared a message on Twitter<\/a>. “Prayers up, praying for your strength @Jeremih,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Singer\u00a0Mickey Guyton<\/strong>\u00a0also posted the news about the star and\u00a0added<\/a>, “Y’all Covid is real! Please please please be careful out there.”<\/p>\n

Musician\u00a0Jozzy<\/strong>\u00a0wrote<\/a>, “Please put some prayers up for @Jeremih! Jesus heals. I love you J. U [sic] got this.”<\/s><\/p>\n
