Infamous Club Kid Killer Michael Alig expected he would be dead by the end of 2020, according to a source.<\/p>\n
\u201cMichael told me he probably wasn\u2019t going to make it through the year. He started making \u2018Party Monster 2\u2019 movie, which was \u2026 footage of when he got out of prison,\u201d the source told Page Six. \u201cIt was like a documentary. Michael told me, \u2018I\u2019ll never see money from it because they said they\u2019ll only release it after [longtime collaborator and DJ] Keoki or I died.’\u201d<\/p>\n
He was found dead on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n
Macaulay Culkin played Alig in the 2003 biopic \u201cParty Monster,\u201d which portrayed the Club Kid scene that he helmed, which culminated in the brutal death of Angel Melendez. Alig and Robert \u201cFreeze\u201d Riggs served time in prison for killing Melendez, dismembering his body and tossing it in the Hudson River in 1996. Alig was released from prison in 2014, but continued to chase his Club Kid heyday and do drugs.<\/p>\n
Police officials told us there were no \u201cobvious signs of trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n
He was allegedly found dead of an apparent heroin overdose by Ben Silva, who described himself as \u201cMichael\u2019s other boyfriend and almost husband\u201d in a message \u2014 seen by Page Six \u2014 to the organizers of a GoFundMe raising money for his funeral expenses.<\/p>\n
Silva said in the message that he was \u201csleeping next to [Alig] when he died.\u201d And said, \u201cI\u2019m the one who called 911\u2026 and the one who was with him all day literally.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, some friends of Alig\u2019s are somehow mystified at how he could\u2019ve died from an overdose.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing a user, he would have a tolerance \u2026 There must\u2019ve been something like fentanyl mixed with it,\u201d the first source said.<\/p>\n
Another added: \u201cMichael did a lot of drugs and couldn\u2019t get out of his own way. He had so much heroin in his body, there was no way he wasn\u2019t going to die. He was an addict, but it\u2019s strange that he took the amount that he took [to kill him].\u201d<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the NYPD told Page Six the medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
