Eva Amurri has found her \u201cunicorn.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old actress shared on her blog, \u201cHappily Eva After,\u201d on Thursday that she is dating a chef named Ian Hock, whom she met when she went out to dinner one night at his restaurant in Westport, Connecticut.<\/p>\n
Amurri described her new boyfriend\u2019s stature on her blog, writing, \u201cHe\u2019s also 6\u20194\u2019\u2019 and makes me feel like a small little person which at 5\u201910\u201d myself is NOT easy to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
The single mom said the pair \u201cended up chatting\u201d at his restaurant and had \u201can immediate connection and spark,\u201d adding that after a series of message exchanges she found he \u201cwasn\u2019t intimidated by my circumstances at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last March, Amurri finalized her divorce from former soccer player and sports broadcaster Kyle Martino after nine years of marriage. At the time, she was pregnant with their third child.<\/p>\n
Susan Sarandon\u2019s daughter admitted she was \u201cREALLY self-conscious\u201d when she first started \u201copening up romantically,\u201d adding that it \u201ctook being with the right person who understood that and was patient with me to allow me to really move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing through a divorce was the hardest thing I\u2019ve ever done, but I do feel that I came out of it with a really clear vision for my future, and a clear vision for my relationships in general\u2013 including with family, friends, and even in my coparenting relationship!\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Martino, 39, recently shared that he and Amurri are the \u201chappiest\u201d they\u2019ve ever been because \u201cwe\u2019ve found our way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOur kids now see a genuine version of parents who love them, love each other & most importantly love themselves,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Amurri said in her blog that Hock is \u201ccelebratory\u201d of her situation.<\/p>\n
She mentioned they have a lot of common interests, including being \u201cfoodies, love going to museums, both Bookworms, both speak French, he played Hockey competitively in High School and I grew up in a HUGE hockey household.\u201d<\/p>\n
On his LinkedIn profile, Hock shared that he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Colorado College. Most recently, he worked as the lead baker at Flour Water Salt Bread in Darien, Conn., and as a chef at Don Memo\u2019s in Westport, Conn.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy the time he took me to dinner for the first time, I felt SO close to him, and so safe with him, and it was an old-fashioned courtship in a lot of ways,\u201d Amurri said of the chef, later adding, \u201cI\u2019m very happy and so grateful. I feel very loved.\u201d<\/p>\n
