Page Six has learned that taping for \u201cThe Real Housewives of New York\u201d has ground to a halt once more because someone on set has COVID-19. And this time, we\u2019re told, it\u2019s a member of the cast who\u2019s been struck by the disease.<\/p>\n
Production was scaled back in October because a crew member tested positive, and didn\u2019t get back up to speed until there had been a two-week quarantine period.<\/p>\n
Now we\u2019re told that the show\u2019s been hobbled again after a cast member got sick.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re aware of their name, but we won\u2019t identify them because they haven\u2019t given us permission to do so. However, we\u2019re told their symptoms are mild.<\/p>\n
We hear the cast and crew were preparing to go on a trip to Upstate New York, which would have marked the end of a grueling season of filming. It has now been postponed.<\/p>\n
A source close to production told us, \u201cThe trip was canceled as part of the network\u2019s strict safety protocols for cast and crew during COVID.\u201d<\/p>\n
We\u2019re told production was shut down out of an abundance of caution and that an insider said the show is proud to be \u201csetting a good example\u201d to help stop the spread.<\/p>\n
The \u201cHousewives\u201d franchise has suffered plenty from the pandemic.<\/p>\n
In July, \u201cRHONY\u201d cast member Ramona Singer announced that she\u2019d tested positive, while Shannon Beador and Emily Simpson of \u201cReal Housewives of Orange County,\u201d Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Dorit Kemsley of \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills,\u201d Jennifer Aydin of \u201cReal Housewives of New Jersey\u201d and D\u2019Andra Simmons of \u201cReal Housewives of Dallas\u201d have all had the virus.<\/p>\n
Several series, including the \u201cReal Housewives of Atlanta\u201d and \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d have had to stop filming after positive tests on set.<\/p>\n
