The First Lady of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church claimed on \u201cThe Real Housewives of Salt Lake City\u201d that her late grandmother told her it was necessary for her to marry her step-grandfather, saying in one episode: \u201cI did marry him. I didn\u2019t want to \u2026 That\u2019s weird to me. But [my grandmother] really did want me to, so I obeyed her. I trusted every word.\u201d<\/p>\n
But she told a different story at the reunion Wednesday, admitting there was no proof the request was her late grandmother Rosemary Redmon Cosby\u2019s dying wish.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, there\u2019s no receipts,\u201d she told Andy Cohen when asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, my grandmother told me for herself that she wanted me to take her place,\u201d she explained,
\nadding that the couple prayed on their decision to get married for two years.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo basically, Robert Sr. was 20 years younger than my grandmother,\u201d she added. \u201cMy grandmother felt like she robbed his youth and so she said \u2018If something ever happens, I want you to marry one of my girls because I know they\u2019ll be loyal to you and treat you good like you treated me.’\u201d<\/p>\n
Cosby later said that she \u201cthinks\u201d she\u2019s in love with her husband and that her marriage is still one of arrangement. (She was previously married, having wed at 19.)<\/p>\n

\nShe added that she and Robert Sr. have not been physical in the last few years and do not sleep in the same bed, noting that marriages are hard but hers is \u201cbeautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t go through a marriage for 22 years and be happy,\u201d she said through tears. \u201cLike every single Chanel, he\u2019s bought it for me. And I haven\u2019t had to buy myself anything. All my designer things, Robert Sr. has gotten them for me \u2026 We\u2019re happy and you can\u2019t say or do anything to take happiness away from me because it\u2019s hard to get. It\u2019s very hard to find. And if you can find that in a man, it doesn\u2019t matter where he came from.\u201d<\/p>\n
