Brian Austin Green<\/a>\u00a0is speaking candidly about his children following in his famous footsteps.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During a chat with\u00a0Soleil Moon Frye<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>\u00a0on Thursday, the 47-year-old actor opened up about his kids and how he would feel if they ever wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Green shares three children \u2014\u00a0Journey River<\/a>, 4\u00bd, Bodhi Ransom, 7, and\u00a0Noah Shannon<\/a>, 8 \u2014with ex\u00a0Megan Fox<\/a>, as well as his 18-year-old son,\u00a0Kassius Lijah<\/a>, with\u00a0Vanessa Marcil<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I’m not sure how [to protect them], to be honest. It’s changed so much from when we were kids and in the business,” Green said. “The age of social media,\u00a0the internet and all of that, it’s a completely different business than it was when I was a kid.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“I kind of feel like the best thing I can do as a parent is just make sure that my kids morally have a good sense of right and wrong, and what makes them feel good and not, what affects other people negatively or positively \u2014 and then put them out there and hope\u00a0they can navigate it,” he explained.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Beverly Hills 90210<\/em>\u00a0star continued: “I don’t think it’s my job to create their experience and their story for them. I think that’s already done, and I think it’s my job just to make sure that the path they’re on is [positive].”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Green, who announced his\u00a0split<\/a>\u00a0from Fox, 34, after 10 years of marriage last May, recently earned praise from his current girlfriend,\u00a0Sharna Burgess<\/a>, for how he is navigating co-parenting with his ex.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Last month, the\u00a0Dancing with the Stars<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>pro appeared on the Australian daytime program\u00a0The Morning Show<\/a><\/em>, where she applauded the former couple for their “great” co-parenting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Burgess, 35, said the exes are “doing a great job with managing their situation<\/a>” and she feels “grateful that [she’s] been able to fit into it \u2014 into their world.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“He’s a wonderful dad, and he and his wife \u2014 uh, ex-wife \u2014 have raised three beautiful children,” she continued. “And they are so wonderful and sweet and kind and considerate, and they’ve done such an amazing job.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Later in his\u00a0ET<\/em>\u00a0chat with Fyre \u2014 who directed her\u00a0new documentary<\/a>,\u00a0Kid90<\/em>, which features Green and\u00a0other famous child stars\u00a0<\/a>from the time \u2014 the actor also noted that he hopes it is “enough” that he is trying to be the best he can be for his children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Cash, my oldest, is turning 19 and he’s an amazing kid. Like, morally, he is a really, really good person,” Green said of his son. “So I hope that that technique works pretty well, but it seems to be with him. I mean, it seems like\u00a0he’s a pretty good guy, so yay me. Yay team Brian!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
