The younger brother of Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas said in a TikTok video that his mental health and addiction struggles hit a low point nearly two years ago when he thought about ending his life \u201cfor real.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is by no means the eloquent explanation I hope to give on a much more serious mode than this. However from a very young age I struggled with drinking and drugging as an escape because I hated life, and I didn\u2019t want to be here,\u201d
\nFrankie said in the video, which was posted in response to a fan who asked him about his experience with addiction.<\/p>\n
\u201cI eventually, after many years of trying to kill myself accidentally, came to a point where I was going to do it for real.\u201d
\nThe 20-year-old said \u201csomething intervened\u201d and he entered treatment, which \u201csaved\u201d his life.<\/p>\n
\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more grateful for the fact that I\u2019m alive today because my world has changed so beautifully and so astronomically, and I am not that person anymore,\u201d he shared in the video.<\/p>\n

A self-described \u201csober drug addict,\u201d Frankie currently studies at Columbia University but revealed in a previous video that he didn\u2019t feel like he belonged there.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s OK that I feel that, but it doesn\u2019t make me less than anyone else, it doesn\u2019t make me more than anyone else,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt\u2019s also good to understand that imposter syndrome can sometimes lead to a messiah complex, and that\u2019s not good either. But it\u2019s okay to be in the middle.\u201d<\/p>\n
