<\/p>\nAs Chadwick Boseman continues to sweep the awards season, his widow once again accepted an honor on his behalf during the 2021 SAG Awards.<\/p>\n
Beginning her speech by thanking God, Taylor Simone Ledward donned a bright yellow and green ensemble while accepting Boseman\u2019s award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for \u201cMa Rainey\u2019s Black Bottom\u201d on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Ledward, who appeared virtually for the pre-taped award show, also thanked Boseman\u2019s parents and August Wilson, the writer of the play on which the film is based.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you see the world unbalanced, be a crusader that pushes heavily on the see-saw of the mind,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cThat\u2019s a quote by Chadwick Boseman.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ledward also thanked the film\u2019s co-stars, including Viola Davis, and thanked Denzel Washington, who once paid for Boseman\u2019s tuition to attend the British American Drama Academy.<\/p>\n
Ledward previously accepted a Critics\u2019 Choice Award and a Golden Globe on his behalf earlier this year.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe would say something beautiful, something inspiring,\u201d Ledward said during the Golden Globes. \u201cSomething that would amplify that little voice inside of all of us that tells you you can. That tells you to keep going. That calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also accepted his posthumous prize at the Gotham Awards in January.<\/p>\n
The \u201cBlack Panther\u201d star lost his battle with colon cancer last summer.<\/p>\n
