A source said it won\u2019t be be on the first Monday of the month because that date is already occupied by Labor Day.<\/p>\n

According to our source, the mag is eyeing poet Amanda Gorman and CFDA chairman Tom Ford to act as hosts.<\/p>\n
Gorman, the 23-year old breakout star of President Biden\u2019s inauguration, is on the cover of the magazine\u2019s May issue and the subject of a relentlessly glowing profile inside.<\/p>\n

Given her show-stopping performance at the inauguration, the theme fittingly will be a celebration of America and American designers, says a source.<\/p>\n
It is unclear what the format for this year\u2019s event will be.<\/p>\n
The black-tie affair, which raises funds for Met\u2019s Costume Institute, is normally fashion\u2019s biggest night and sees guests from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian to Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and CAA\u2019s Bryan Lourd.<\/p>\n
