Former \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor welcomed their first child, a son named Cruz Michael Cauchi on April 12.<\/p>\n
\u201cYesterday, April 12th at 1:51 pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible,\u201d Cartwright wrote on her Instagram Tuesday evening. \u201cOur beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love. He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. \ud83d\udc99 We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! \ud83d\ude2d\ud83e\udd70\ud83d\udc99- Both Mommy & Baby are doing great! \ud83d\udc99\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never in my life thought it was going to be like this,\u201d Taylor wrote on his own Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s 10,000 times better. Dad mode just kicks in. I don\u2019t think I have ever been as happy as I am right now, everything else in life seems so insignificant now. I am crying just writing this message.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have the most beautiful son a man could ask for, he\u2019s an absolute blessing from god,\u201d Taylor continued. \u201cI just want to say how absolutely amazing my wife has been through this whole process, it has not been an easy pregnancy for her but she did an absolute amazing job all the way till the end. I have always been in awwh of Brittany but I fell in love with her all over again. She is our families\u2019 rock. We are so in love \ud83d\udc9c\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTaylor, 41, and Cartwright, 32, first announced that they were expecting a baby in September and hosted an elaborate gender reveal party later that month.<\/p>\n
In December, the couple announced they were leaving the Bravo show.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors,\u201d Taylor said in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n
Like her former co-star Stassi Schroeder, Cartwright also felt insecure about her pregnancy body.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s already beautiful, she\u2019s already gorgeous, but I always see Brittany looking at herself and I know in her head she\u2019s just thinking sometimes that she think she\u2019s not pretty,\u201d Taylor said.<\/p>\n
He added of their pregnant friends Stassi Schroeder \u2014 who welcomed her baby in January \u2014 and Lala Kent, \u201cTheir bodies are changing and they\u2019re not used to that and they\u2019re very insecure.
