<\/p>\nChrissy Teigen says Meghan Markle is a truly \u201ckind\u201d person IRL.<\/p>\n
The supermodel, 35, who has defended the Duchess of Sussex multiple times from online trolls, said their friendship extends beyond the screen.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s been so kind to me ever since we connected,\u201d Teigen said Tuesday on the \u201cWatch What Happens Live After Show.\u201d \u201cShe had written me about baby Jack and loss and she is really wonderful \u2026 and just as kind as everyone says she is.\u201d<\/p>\n

This past fall, Teigen and husband John Legend lost their son Jack about halfway into the model\u2019s pregnancy, shortly after Markle and Prince Harry suffered a miscarriage in July. Teigen initially stood up for Markle on social media after a Twitter user slammed Markle for writing such a personal piece for the New York Times about her loss.<\/p>\n
Markle and Harry made even bigger waves by giving a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey last month, during which Markle made allegations of racism and cruelty against the royal family, and said she\u2019d contemplated suicide while dealing with life in the spotlight and treatment by the British media.<\/p>\n
Right before the Winfrey interview aired in early March, allegations came out that Markle had bullied staff members before she and Harry left their senior royal duties last year \u2014 which Markle, 39, shot down as a \u201ccalculated smear campaign\u201d executed ahead of the interview.<\/p>\n
Teigen told \u201cWWHL\u201d host Andy Cohen that she has spoken to Markle since the Duchess\u2019 revealing interview.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026 You look at everything and you\u2019re like, \u2018My God, what is actually wrong with people where they have to make this person [Markle] out to be so malicious or so crazy?\u2019 when it\u2019s just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are,\u201d Teigen said. \u201cSo yeah, she\u2019s a really wonderful girl.\u201d<\/p>\n
Teigen said she found the interview \u201cvery eye-opening.\u201d<\/p>\n
