Former couple Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were seen having dinner together over the weekend at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, sources exclusively told Page Six.<\/p>\n
Spies said the pair were out at the luxury hotel on Friday night \u2014 just over a week after they confirmed they\u2019d called off their engagement and broken up.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the same ritzy restaurant where they went on their first date back in 2017. Lopez also reportedly owns a $28 million mansion in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Lopez, 51, just wrapped filming her next movie, \u201cShotgun Wedding,\u201d in the Dominican Republic. Rodriguez, 45, is in the midst of a deal to become co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n
Reports this week said that Lopez is \u201cleaning\u201d on ex-husband Marc Anthony in the wake of the Rodriguez breakup. She and Anthony co-parent their twins Max and Emme.<\/p>\n
But it seemed that the pop star and the former Yankees slugger were still close at the amicable meetup. A source said, \u201cThere still seemed to be love and respect there.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear what the friendly Oscar weekend dinner was about. We hear that the exes are continuing to work on business projects together \u2014 though Lopez is not involved in Rodriguez\u2019s bid to own an NBA team.<\/p>\n
\nEither way, A-Rod then flew back to Miami for his daughter Ella\u2019s 13th birthday. He posted an image of a private jet with the caption \u201cHome sweet home,\u201d as well as pics of himself and Ella that said, \u201cMy little baby girl is 13\u2026 Where does the time go?\u201d to his Instagram Stories. A-Rod has two daughters, Ella, and Natasha, 16, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.<\/p>\n
He also posted a pic of a mirror with the quote: \u201cToday I\u2019m choosing to accept the things I cannot change.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meantime, Lopez on Saturday posted a throwback video clip on Instagram which showed her on the red carpet at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards in a sparkling gown. \u201cEnergy for the weekend,\u201d she captioned the clip. She\u2019d won the Video Vanguard Award at the show.<\/p>\n
The red carpet clip of the MTV awards seemed like it could be giving Sunday\u2019s Oscars the cold shoulder. Last year, J.Lo was surprisingly overlooked by the Academy Awards for her role in \u201cHustlers\u201d \u2014 which was seen as one of the show\u2019s biggest slights.<\/p>\n
Page Six exclusively reported in March that J.Lo and A-Rod were breaking up \u2014 though they subsequently said they were were \u201cworking through some things\u201d before eventually pulling the plug. They\u2019d been engaged since 2019.<\/p>\n
J.Lo told Vanity Fair in a 2017 cover story of the couple\u2019s first date at the Bel-Air hotel: \u201cI don\u2019t know if he thought it was a date. I thought it was a date. Then I knew he was nervous because he asked me if I wanted a drink. I said, \u2018No, I don\u2019t drink,\u2019 and he asked if I minded if he had one. He was nervous, and it was really cute.\u201d<\/p>\n

A-Rod added, \u201cI didn\u2019t know if it was a date \u2026 Maybe we were seeing each other at night because of her work schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n
Things heated up \u2014 both figuratively and literally \u2014 on the 2017 date when Lopez told Rodriguez she was single, and he texted her, \u201cYou look sexy AF,\u201d after he stepped away from the table, but then, \u201cthe fire alarm went off, and we had to evacuate,\u201d she told VF.<\/p>\n
Perhaps it was a sign the relationship ultimately wouldn\u2019t last.<\/p>\n
Just over a week ago the duo confirmed they\u2019d parted ways by telling NBC\u2019s \u201cToday\u201d show: \u201cWe have realized we are better as friends \u2026 We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.\u201d<\/p>\n
