Britney Spears<\/a>\u00a0is not expected to petition for an end to her conservatorship when she comes face to face with a judge next month. Instead, a report states, she’ll ask a judge to permanently remove her father, Jamie Spears, from the conservatorship, which has guided her life for the past 13 years.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0TMZ<\/a>\u00a0report claims Britney does not feel trapped in the conservatorship and has no issues with\u00a0the current conservatorship of her person<\/a>. In fact, the pop star knows that her life was unraveling before the conservatorship was put in place, and it gave her structure and replenished her bank account, which was dwindling.<\/p>\n

“She’s taken care of and she knows it,” a source said.<\/p>\n

The source said that, contrary to popular belief, Britney actually lives a relatively free life in Los Angeles and travels frequently to Hawaii.<\/p>\n

“She has 99% of the freedom she’d have if she weren’t in a conservatorship, and the only thing she’s prevented from doing are crazy things, like buying 3 cars at a time [which she tried to do back in the day],” the source said.<\/p>\n

The main issue Britney has with the conservatorship is her father’s involvement in her business affairs. The two reportedly haven’t spoken for some time, and she’s apparently angry at him over several business decisions he’s made. She’s also upset with several people Jamie has let into the inner circle.<\/p>\n

Because Britney and Jamie don’t speak, their entire relationship (as of now) is business-based. Although Jamie is no longer Britney’s personal conservator, he still\u00a0manages her business affairs along with a financial institution. With Britney not touring or performing, there isn’t much to do. Britney has also said she will not return to performing as long as her dad is involved in any facet of decision-making.<\/p>\n

Britney’s relationship with\u00a0her father and the conservatorship<\/a>\u00a0has gained renewed interest among the public following the widely-viewed “Framing\u00a0Britney Spears<\/a>” documentary.<\/p>\n

The upcoming court appearance on June 23, which should be open to the public to watch via Zoom, will be the first time in recent years that Britney has stood before the court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
