That’s one super beard.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, May 11,\u00a0Jensen Ackles<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of\u00a0The Boys<\/a><\/em>\u00a0season three. While Jensen didn’t tease any specifics about the new season, the recent upload had us doing a double take.<\/p>\n

Why? Well, because\u00a0the\u00a0Supernatural<\/em>\u00a0alum<\/a>\u00a0was sporting a very bushy beard and a shaggy haircut. This may not necessarily be a shock to his devoted 8.5 million followers on Instagram, who followed the beard growth online. But for the rest of us, who think of Jensen as the often clean cut Dean Winchester, it was quite the surprise.<\/p>\n

Alongside the on-set update, Jensen\u00a0wrote<\/a>, “Just another day at the ‘NEW’ office. Happy taco Tuesday, folks. @theboystv #SoldierBoy.”<\/p>\n

As E! News readers well know, back in August 2020, it was announced that Jensen would be joining\u00a0The Boys<\/em>\u00a0cast for season three. Jensen confirmed the news by uploading\u00a0a video<\/a>\u00a0of himself catching\u00a0The Boys<\/em>\u00a0comic book, which inspired the series, and looking it over. At the end, a title card flashed, “The Boys<\/em>\u00a0season 3.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

He also captioned the video, “I keep wondering what I’ll do….when\u00a0@cw_supernatural\u00a0finally ends this year. Then it hit me.”<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old actor will play Soldier Boy on the Amazon Prime Video series, who, according to\u00a0Variety<\/a><\/em>, is\u00a0the original superhero<\/a>. We doubt Seven leader Homelander (Antony Starr<\/strong>) will be a fan of his.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
