\u201cOn Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,\u201d the Instagram caption read. \u201cTo all those working on the vaccine rollout \u2014 thank you for everything you\u2019ve done and continue to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

William received his shot at London\u2019s Science Museum. It is unclear if Kate, 39, has received a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n
70 percent of the UK\u2019s adult population has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and nearly 40 percent have had both shots, according to government data.<\/p>\n
The progress of the vaccine rollout varies across the UK. Over-30s are eligible in Scotland, while Northern Ireland has started offering the vaccination to anyone aged over 25.<\/p>\n
Most adults under the age of 40 in the UK are being given an alternative to the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine due to a link with rare blood clots.<\/p>\n
In February, William\u2019s father, Prince Charles, received his first dose of the vaccine, along with his wife Camilla. The 72-year-old heir to the British throne tested positive for the novel coronavirus in March 2020.<\/p>\n
He contracted Covid last April, at a similar time to his father Prince Charles, and was treated by palace doctors. He was reportedly able to carry on with telephone and online engagements.<\/p>\n
Buckingham Palace also announced in January that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip had received their vaccinations. Philip died in April at the age of 99.<\/p>\n
