In the interview with Winfrey, Harry, 36, claims that Markle did not go through with suicide because she didn\u2019t want history to repeat itself.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe scariest thing for her was her clarity of thought,\u201d the prince told Winfrey. \u201cShe hadn\u2019t \u2018lost it.\u2019 She wasn\u2019t crazy. She wasn\u2019t self-medicating, be it through pills or through alcohol. She was absolutely sober. She was completely sane. Yet in the quiet of night, these thoughts woke her up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harry said he did not go to his family when Markle felt suicidal because he was ashamed the situation had got \u201cthat bad\u201d. He also said that the royals would likely not be able to help.<\/p>\n

The couple now live in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
