\u201cOn a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world,\u201d Rossum wrote alongside a series of glamorous pregnancy shots that also featured Esmail and the newborn\u2019s footprint. (The couple did not announce a name.)<\/p>\n
\nRossum, 34, kept her pregnancy a secret leading up to the big day, and the announcement caught fans by surprise, leading the \u201cPhantom of the Opera\u201d star\u2019s name to trend on Twitter following the news.<\/p>\n

Rossum and the \u201cMr. Robot\u201d creator \u2014 who landed his wife an uncredited cameo on the show in 2019 \u2014 married in May 2017 at Central Synagogue in Manhattan, followed by a lavish reception at the Guggenheim and a honeymoon in Rwanda. They were engaged in fall 2015, but Rossum said the lengthy engagement wasn\u2019t due to any bridezilla behavior on her part, telling E! \u201cThe only thing that\u2019s really important to me is that we get married and there\u2019s some kind of party.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rossum left \u201cShameless\u201d after its ninth season in 2019.
\nHer next project, per IMDB, is a mini-series, \u201cAngelyne,\u201d in which she plays the title role. It\u2019s currently in post-production.<\/p>\n
Esmail, 43, worked on the TV series \u201cBriarpatch\u201d and \u201cHomecoming\u201d after \u201cMr. Robot\u201d wrapped in 2019. He\u2019s next exec-producing a \u201cBattlestar Galactica\u201d reboot.<\/p>\n
