<\/p>\nEvelyn Lozada is leaving \u201cBasketball Wives\u201d after nine seasons.<\/p>\n
She is one of just two cast members who has starred in every season of the VH1 show since it debuted in 2010.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think that it\u2019s time for me to open up the universe to other things,\u201d she told E!\u2019s \u201cJust the Sip\u201d podcast, \u201cIt\u2019s been a hard decision because I could [continue to appear on the show] with my eyes closed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut at the same time I think it\u2019s so difficult and it takes so much energy and it\u2019s not the most positive energy and I just open up to the universe to allow other things to flow in,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Lozada \u2014 who was engaged to former NBC star Antoine Walker, married NFLer Chad Ochocinco and has a son with baseball player Carl Crawford \u2014 said she\u2019s \u201cbeen feeling conflicted\u201d about staying on the show for the last couple of seasons.<\/p>\n
She said she\u2019s had days where \u201cwe will have scenes [and] I don\u2019t care what happened in that scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Bronx native had her own docuseries on OWN titled \u201cLivin\u2019 Lozada\u201d in 2015. The show lasted for two seasons, but she says that she felt that working with Oprah Winfrey\u2019s network had taken her career up a notch.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing from OWN and going back to \u2018Basketball Wives,\u2019 I was so far removed from this type of dynamic with the cast. I did feel like I took a few steps backwards,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She filed for divorce from Ochocinco in 2012, shortly after he head-butted her a month after their wedding. He pleaded no contest to domestic battery in August that year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
