<\/p>\nFormer Fleetwood Mac singer\/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham\u2019s big love is over as the rocker\u2019s wife goes her own way.<\/p>\n
Buckingham\u2019s spouse of more than 20 years, Kristen Messner, filed for divorce in Los Angeles, TMZ reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The couple reportedly married in 2000 and have three children above the age of 17 together.<\/p>\n

The 71-year-old met Messner, 50, in the 1990s when she photographed him for one of his solo albums, according to reports.<\/p>\n
Ten years ago, Buckingham told the Las Vegas Review-Journal he was lucky to find love later in life.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had a lot of crazy girlfriends, and a lot of that was just an outgrowth of the lifestyle we were all leading,\u201d the fingerpicker said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI did see a lot of friends who were parents and spouses \u2014 back in previous decades \u2014 who weren\u2019t really there and kind of screwed up their kids and were not there for their family situations. So I waited and I was lucky enough to meet someone relatively late\u2026 it\u2019s worked out really well. I got all that other garbage out of the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Word of Buckingham\u2019s broken family chain comes as the musician took to Twitter to promote a new album, \u201cI Don\u2019t Mind,\u201d and a 2021 tour.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first public breakup for Buckingham, who was famously kicked out of the legendary band in 2018.<\/p>\n
