Erika Jayne\u2019s lawyers filed legal papers on Thursday to remain as her counsel \u2014 just two days after asking a judge to sign off on their exit, per court documents obtained by Page Six on Friday.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a peculiar reversal for Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, which had filed paperwork on Tuesday to withdraw from representing the star of \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,\u201d 49, in her estranged husband Tom Girardi\u2019s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case.<\/p>\n
The news of the attorneys\u2019 initial filing came just hours after Hulu dropped its \u201cThe Housewife and the Hustler\u201d documentary, which covered the couple\u2019s ongoing divorce and Girardi\u2019s legal drama.<\/p>\n
At the time, the law firm claimed that \u201cthe relationship of trust and confidence that is essential to a properly functioning attorney-client relationship has broken down and, in the good-faith assessment of counsel, the relationship is irreparable.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is unclear how Jayne and Dinsmore & Shohl have since patched up their relationship \u2014 or what the Bravolebrity knew about Girardi, 82, allegedly stealing money from his clients. She claimed she had no knowledge of his activities prior to her November 2020 divorce filing.<\/p>\n

Sunny Hostin, who appeared in the film, reported that the reality star has claimed many of her luxury items were \u201cgifts to her\u201d from Girardi, making them \u201cseparate property\u201d in their divorce.<\/p>\n
Law360 features reporter Brandon Lowrey, meanwhile, commented in the documentary, \u201c[Tom and Erika are] together in these bankruptcy proceedings. A lot of these debts that they owe in bankruptcy proceedings, [they] owe together, possibly. It\u2019s going to be hard for her to say she didn\u2019t know that anything was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cHow Many F\u2013ks\u201d singer has not been formally charged with any crimes that she would need representation for. However, she and Girardi were accused of embezzling through their divorce settlement funds meant to help the victims of Lion Air Flight 610.<\/p>\n
A December lawsuit filed by Edelson PC, a class-action firm representing the victims, alleged, \u201cWhile Erika publicly filed for divorce \u2026 on information and belief, that \u2018divorce\u2019 is simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom\u2019s and Erika\u2019s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jayne previously denied having knowledge of Girardi\u2019s alleged crimes, saying in the \u201cRHOBH\u201d Season 11 trailer that \u201cno one knows the answer but him.\u201d<\/p>\n
